Hello there, readers! I just noticed that I had Facebook tracking scripts on my page. This is unacceptable and I tracked it down to the ShareThis plugin on my blog. Apparently it eventually updated and added a script of the Facebook SDK to my blog.
The plugin adds social media buttons to my blog posts, which I thought were just static images with a hyperlink. So, users were probably tracked by Facebook for a few months. Sorry for that. I really want to respect your privacy, but I still have one tracking script available. Read more about Piwik here: https://davidebove.com/blog/privacy-cookies/.
I removed the plugin and the share buttons are gone. Also, as you may have noticed, I enabled HTTPS!! If you are privacy-aware and visit my blog from time to time, please contact me if you notice something weird.
